Global Soils Week

 

The first ever Global Soils Week will be hosted in Berlin Germany November 18-22, 2012.  The main themes will be Urbanization, Global Land Degradation, Global Soil Policy, Natural Resource Tenure, and Sustainable Development Goals for Soils. A full schedule for the week can be found here.

GSBI will be co-facilitating a session on “Ecosystem Services of Soils: Competition & Synergies” along with Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research. The schedule of events is available online.  GSBI in conjunction with Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) will be hosting a session entitled "Ecosystem Services of Soils: Competition & Synergies".  The session will be a round table discussion moderated by Diana Wall and Hubert Wiggering.
