Global Soil Week

The first ever Global Soils Week was hosted in Berlin Germany November 18-22, 2012.  The main themes were Urbanization, Global Land Degradation, Global Soil Policy, Natural Resource Tenure, and Sustainable Development Goals for Soils. 

GSBI co-facilitated a session on “Ecosystem Services of Soils: Competition & Synergies” along with Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research.  GSBI in conjunction with Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) will be hosting a session entitled "Ecosystem Services of Soils: Competition & Synergies".  The session was a round table discussion moderated by Diana Wall and Hubert Wiggering.
