Presently, Senior Lecturer, Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology, University of Nairobi, and Consultant with International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT). Dr. Ayuke’s research interests include soil biodiversity conservation and associated ecosystem services, conservation agriculture, and soil organic matter dynamics in agroecosystems. Currently he is serving in the GSBI Scientific Advisory Committee, and a lead author with Intergovernmental Panel on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). His previous work includes FAO/TSBF/ICRAF (2011-2013), UNEP-GEF Project initiative on Below-ground Biodiversity (BGBD) (2003-2010), SIDA funded Lake Victoria Research Initiative (VicRes) Project (2004-2012), and GLIDE-IBOY Project (2002-2003). Dr. Ayuke has been a fellow at WOTRO/NWO-Wageningen, the Netherlands (2006-2010) and a Norman Borlaug Fellow (2008).  He has published several journal papers and book chapters in diverse and multi-disciplinary topics.
